Walk to fight animal cruelty

Who’s a hero to 20,000 dogs each year?

Answer: it could be YOU!

For 30 years, Australians and their pooches have been walking and wagging to help fight animal cruelty. This May, we're celebrating our 30th birthday and we want you to be involved!

There’s a Million Paws Walk event near you, so bring your four-legged friend along and fundraise to give dogs in need a voice!

Find your inner superhero, get ready for the best walk of the year, and sign up today.

How it works

1. Sign up

Get ready to embark on a Million Paws Walk near you – there are events happening in May all over Australia!

2. Share

It’s for an amazing pawpose, after all… share your fundraising page and raise funds to give dogs in need a voice.

3. Then... WALKIES!

According to the pups, at least, this is the best bit: pound the pavement with the pooches and community at your local Million Paws Walk!

It took a superhero to save Frankie

Frankie, a six-year-old Cocker Spaniel, was found huddling next to a backyard hot water service in the pouring rain when an RSPCA Inspector found her.

Reported by a concerned member of the public, Frankie was covered in hard clumps of fur, soaked through, cold, and without proper shelter. At our shelter clinic, vets had to clip her coat while she was under anaesthetic due the severity of the matting.

Thanks to the support of RSPCA community donations, Frankie received treatment with antibiotics, a medicated bath, special food, and gentle exercise.

Now, Frankie has a loving forever home, and is a happy go lucky dog who loves to play fetch, cuddle, and enjoy a brush.
