- What is Million Paws Walk?
- Million Paws Walk is a dog walking event held nationally by the RSPCA. This event is the largest fundraising event for the year. It involves thousands of people and their dogs registering, fundraising and participating in walks held across Australia. These vital funds raised are to provide for the animals in our care and fight against animal cruelty. Visit our About page to learn more.
- When is Million Paws Walk?
- The walk is held on the third Sunday in May every year. This year it will be held on Sunday 19 May 2019.
- Who can enter the event?
- Anyone can enter the event and everyone is welcome with or without a dog. This includes children, adults, families, school teams, corporate teams, friends and neighbours! Please understand, this is a dog only event, no other animals are allowed for the safety of your pets. We welcome all variety of dogs, whether they are large or small, fluffy or hairless. As you will be in the company of hundreds of dogs, you must take complete responsibility for your own dogs at the event and they all should be on a lead.
- Where does the money raised go?
- Proceeds from the Million Paws Walk supports the ongoing work of the RSPCA. Funds raised through entry fees, the sale of merchandise and online fundraising, help assist the RSPCA to operate its animal shelters, support its Inspectorate services and provide community education on animal welfare issues.
